My husband and I used to go out all the time when we were first married. We felt like we were still in college and could still stay up late and do everything that we used to do when we were dating. But then reality set in, and we both got full-time jobs requiring us to get up at the crack of dawn to get to them. I am a nurse, and he is a fire fighter. So to say we both have stressful jobs would be putting it mildly. We have slowed down a lot since our party days of college and are concentrating more on our careers and deciding when to start a family. Now we have become more like homebodies. Who would have ever thought that we would turn in to our parents and want to stay home all the time? Once a week we try to coordinate our jobs and get home at the same time. One of us goes by the Chinese restaurant and picks up dinner. Then we turn on our TV and watch a movie on HBO that we got through www.expertsatellite.com. We are certainly having a great time and saving a lot of money.

1. What is the longest distance you’ve traveled (in one trip) by foot?
:: Hiking up to the Batad Rice Terraces in the Ifugao Province. It was never ending!

2. What is the longest trip you’ve taken by car?
:: For holiday, we drove 12 hours from Lexington, KY to Niagara Falls, NY. And then, at one time we also moved from Houston, TX to Miami, FL. Both seemed never ending, as well!

3. What is the longest trip you’ve taken by plane?
:: US to the Philippines and back. We always go through packs of duracell procell aaa batteries for my daughter’s techtoys on these trips!

4. What is the longest trip you’ve taken on some kind of water craft?
:: Coron, Palawan to Manila on a Superferry.

5. What is the longest trip you’ve taken aboard a bus or train?
:: AMTRAK from LA to San Francisco. Two days!!

:: Just to always drive safely :)

:: Since I’m the personal chef, I’ll just say to myself that: it doesn’t matter what you cook (or what it tastes like) as long as you do it with love they have no choice but to eat it. :)

:: Don’t forget the kamatis!

4. What instructions do you have for your maid this weekend?
:: Take off your special Marcus lab coat. Take a break. Have a kitkat.

5. You don’t have a personal handyman, so I’m lending you mine. What three tasks would you like him to tackle this weekend?
:: Putty the holes the walls and then paint over them. Change the filters. And, that’s it. As it turns out, I do have a personal handyman and our home is almost always in tiptop shape. :)

1. Of the five weekdays, which is the easiest to get through?
:: Friday, of course! First of all, I don’t have to wake up extra early to prepare my daughter’s lunch because they always have pizza Fridays at school. She also doesn’t have any after school activities on Fridays, so I don’t have to shuttle up and around, too. And by Friday, most of my chores at home are done and I’m left to relax and catch up on my soaps until its time for the hubby and my daughter to come home. :)

2. Which of the five little piggies is the most bizarrely characterized?
:: The one who ate roast beef. That creeps me out on so many levels. That alone tells you why I did not even think of Veterinary Technician Jobs as a career option.

3. Of fire, earth, metal, water, and wood, from which do you draw your power?
:: Definitely water. I’m a Pisces and we fishes thrive in the water. :)

4. Haribo Gummy Bears come in five flavors: pineapple (white), strawberry (green), raspberry (red), lemon (yellow) and orange (orange). Which is your favorite?
:: Orange!

:: Sweet! But sometimes, savory, too! :D

:: A deep sleeper. The husband takes over baby duties during the weekends. Love it!

:: Cuteness power. I adore the kids in our neighborhood.

:: Sweaty underarms, hehehe.

:: A good dip in the pool, or a run through the waterpark. And a nice huge bowl of ice cream while tinkering with the mini portables.

:: Boredom and laziness. I just think of the many chores that would crowd around me if I didn’t get to it and it gets my butt off of the couch.

:: My mascara. I am loyal to one brand because it works great, but I sometimes can’t help thinking if a cheaper brand would do. But no, I tried the cheap brands and they don’t work as well, hehe. :)

:: The pocket of my husband’s pants. In the laundry room. Or bedroom.

3. A rare yes-or-no question on Friday 5: Have you ever dropped your cell phone onto your face?
:: Yes. Many times. Texting while lying down can be a hazard. :)

4. What did you last take out of your freezer?
:: Ground chicken.

5. How many rolls of wrapping paper do you have in your house?
:: More than necessary, haha! I could make stanchions out of them from our house to Hollywood. I just don’t think I have enough velvet ropes. :)

:: Travelling with the family. I’ve had lots of great summer vacations and they’ve always involved exploring new places with my family.

:: Being stuck at home all summer. Or, going to school to do summer classes. I mean, its the only time in the whole year that we don’t need to go to school and yet… you know what I mean.

:: Fresh coconut juice straight from the tree.

4. What summer-only activity do you now look most forward to every year?
:: Waking up late. :) Now that I have a school-age kid, I have never been more sleep deprived than when I was going to school myself. :) For next year, though, I am looking forward to browsing invitations at invitationbox.com bachelorette party invitations for any of my unmarried sisters.

:: All summer movies are fun, I look forward to them all.

:: Peace and quiet. Its hard to whip up some ideas when the entire household is in chaos.

:: Receiving a diamond ring from the hubby. I mean, anybody would feel giddy silly when she’s suddenly face to face with her best friend. :D

:: When I hear from family or friends back home, I always wonder how things are or will be without us near them.

:: When I see something that someone else has done that I absolutely know I can do better. I always tell myself that its not the arrogance in me talking (really now), but my competitive self. :D
