<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>People close to me know that developing Alzheimer&#8217;s Disease is my most feared illness. I have tried to live my life as fully as I could and the memories I have made of these are what I one day would like to share with the people I most love. Like my grandmother has. I grew up listening to World War stories, anecdotes about her family and lovely childhood hometown, and the romantic events leading to her marriage to my grandfather. </p>
<p>However, I have seen how this illness has ravaged her fragile mind, and how I would do anything in the world to bring back the doting, cuddly, vivid woman she once was. </p>
<p>Which is why I greatly support The Alzheimer&#8217;s Association Memory Walk®. It is the nation&#8217;s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer care, support and research. The organization is now calling on volunteers of all ages to become champions in the fight against Alzheimer&#8217;s. The <a href="http://socialspark.com/metrics/click/post?slot_id=12435&#038;url=http%3A%2F%2Fclk.atdmt.com%2FTGA%2Fgo%2F108708473%2Fdirect%2F01%2F" rel="nofollow">Alzheimer&#8217;s Memory Walk</a> will be participated in by people from more than 600 communities, walking 2-3 short miles this coming fall. </p>
<p><iframe src="http://view.atdmt.com/TGA/iview/108708464/direct/01?click=" frameborder="0" scrolling="no" marginheight="0" marginwidth="0" topmargin="0" leftmargin="0" allowtransparency="true" width="300" height="150"> <script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript"> document.write('<a href="http://clk.atdmt.com/TGA/go/108708464/direct/01/" target="_blank"><img src="http://view.atdmt.com/TGA/view/108708464/direct/01/"/></a>&#8216;); </script><noscript><a href="http://clk.atdmt.com/TGA/go/108708464/direct/01/" target="_blank"><img border="0" src="http://view.atdmt.com/TGA/view/108708464/direct/01/" /></a></noscript></iframe></p>
<p>Let&#8217;s walk with a purpose – and move us closer to a world without Alzheimer&#8217;s. Together, we can MOVE a nation.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><a href="http://juls-random-thots.blogspot.com/2008/07/7-random-things-about-me.html">Juliet</a> tagged me to list down seven random things about me. However, instead of the seven things Juliet asked for, I will share ten instead. :)</p>
<p>Anyway, I already did a similar tag a year ago, too. You can also re-visit it <a href="http://mrsworkinggirl.com/2007/06/19/tagged-seven-random/">HERE</a>.</p>
<blockquote><p>1. Each blogger starts with seven random facts/habits about themselves;<br />
2. Bloggers that are tagged need post these rules and and their ten things on their own blog;<br />
3. At the end of your blog, you need to choose 7 people to keep the tag going;<br />
4. Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged!</p></blockquote>
<p>Here&#8217;s ten random facts about me, which are totally factual, hehe.</p>
<p>1. When in front of my laptop, I can&#8217;t help but click click click and click the Send/Receive button on my Outlook Express. And I get sad when I don&#8217;t get any email, hehe.</p>
<p>2. I have been eating the same brand of cereal for the past four years. Wala lang, Post&#8217;s Honey Bunches of Oats with Almonds are my absolute favorite.</p>
<p>3. I have a camera in my bag now, every time. I hope someday, someone will invent a DSLR that&#8217;s the size of my Sony point and shoot, hehe.</p>
<p>4. I like my coffee sweet. And I do not use artificial sweeteners. Where&#8217;s the fun in that? (Tell that to me when Diabetes catches up with me)</p>
<p>5. Speaking of diabetes, we always have ice cream in the freezer, hehe. Breyer&#8217;s Rocky Road is our current favorite.</p>
<p>6. My favorite breakfast item at McDonalds is the Sausage McGriddle.</p>
<p>7. I now appreciate <a href="http://www.condohotelmarketplace.com/">condo hotel</a>s. With its living room, dining room, kitchen, and bedroom setup, its truly a home away from home.</p>
<p>8. I now know most kiddie show songs pretty much by heart. Ask me for any Nick Jr, PBSKids, or Playhouse Disney lyrics and I (or Ninna) can, more or less, give them to you in a snap.</p>
<p>9. Both of my parents are from Pampanga so I can understand the dialect but not speak it as well as they do.</p>
<p>10. I am my dad&#8217;s personal speech writer. He thinks he has hit the jackpot because someone is able to do his speeches for him for free, hehehe.</p>
<p>I am tagging everyone whose birthday falls on October. Or if you&#8217;re a part of a family of 10. </p>

<blockquote><p>From their fabled past to their storied present, the United States Air Force Air Demonstration Squadron is the premier demonstration squadron of the most elite air and space force the world has ever known. They are the best of the best: U.S. Air Force professionals teamed together to present precision aerial maneuvers that exhibit the capabilities of modern, high performance aircraft and the high degree of professional skill required to operate those aircraft.</p>
<p>The demonstrations themselves are unimaginable before you see them and unforgettable afterwards, but that is only a small fraction of what this team represents. The Air Force is engaged in global operations every day, fighting the Global War on Terror, defending our homeland, providing strategic deterrence and giving our nation unparalleled global vigilance, reach and power.</p>
<p>This year, the Thunderbirds celebrate 55 years of representing the more than 500,000 Airmen, National Guardsmen and Reservists worldwide. Whether at home in Las Vegas or at an air show on the other side of the world, the team embodies the same pride, precision and professionalism required to achieve uncontested air dominance anywhere, anytime.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I believe that our schools should be able to afford a reliable yet secure Broadband Wide Area Network services and Voice over IP (VoIP) telephony services. In this regard, a company like <a href="http://trillion.net">Trillion</a> could help. Trillion provides Priority One <a href="http://www.trillion.net/resources/erate.html">Erate</a> eligible telephony services, specifically for K-12 education. They specialize in delivering WAN services, including design, installation, and WAN management using state-of-the-art licensed wireless and fiber technologies. So far, they have become one of the largest national service providers of licensed wireless and fiber WAN services for K-12 school districts in the country, providing services to over 1,500 schools coast to coast.</p>

<p>Our weekend was a total rave! First, we went to see a drive-in movie for the very first time! </p>

<em>Those are the cars in front of us, hehe.</em></p>
<p>Because it was a Friday night, we made sure to arrive by 7pm to beat the long weekend lines. Since we had two hours to kill (the show was scheduled to start at 9:30pm), it was spent eating our take-outs (had we known, we could have brought a grill and had a barbecue, too, like the other moviegoers) and chatting to high heavens with our good friends. </p>
<p><img src="http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y50/meeyagirl/mwg/weeksnap/drivein-friends.jpg" border="0" alt="" /><br />
<em>A fun tailgate party of McDonalds take-outs. :)</em></p>
<p><img src="http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y50/meeyagirl/mwg/weeksnap/DSC02283.jpg" border="0" alt="" /><br />
<em>My hubby and daughter comfortably seated on our portable &#8220;theater seats&#8221;.</em></p>
<p>What did we watch? <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Dark_Knight_(film)">The Dark Knight</a>, of course! And I could never say &#8220;Wow!&#8221; enough. That movie was probably the best Batman movie ever. A huge &#8220;ka-pow!&#8221; and &#8220;ka-boom!&#8221; to the Batman of old.</p>
<p><img src="http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y50/meeyagirl/mwg/weeksnap/drivein-heath.jpg" border="0" alt="" /><br />
<em>Why so sad? Because <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heath_Ledger">he </a>died, even as he gave life to Joker.</em></p>
<p>I knew that this was not a movie for kids so, while the adults were watching the movie, the younger kids were left to their own devices (literally) inside the cars. The moms had their Nintendo DS and PSPs at the ready for the kids. As for Ninna, I brought along her portable DVD player and she an her friend Josh watched Dora and Diego all night long, hehe. </p>
<p>What&#8217;s great about this is, the seven bucks per adult ticket gets you, not one, but two movies! The Dark Knight was double featured with Get Smart.</p>
<p><img src="http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y50/meeyagirl/mwg/weeksnap/drivein-anne.jpg" border="0" alt="" /><br />
<em>Agent 86 Steve Carrell is sooo funny! And Agent 99 Anne Hathaway is so pretty.</em></p>
<p>Unfortunately, as it was already 1:30am, we weren&#8217;t able to finish the second movie because both the kids and the adults were already sleepy (and cranky, haha!) so we decided to head on home. As we crept away with our headlights off, we were pretty thankful that our <a href="http://insure.com/">car insurance</a> was up to date.</p>
<p>Can&#8217;t wait until we do this again! :)</p>
<p>~~~</p>
<p>Thanks for viewing our double featured outdoor date at the <a href="http://www.starlightdrivein.com/">Starlight Drive-In</a>, Atlanta, GA.</p>
