My family and I drove to Utah a few months back and, as most people who know me know, I live for these kinds of outings. One of the places we went to was Bryce Canyon, and I have to tell you that it was amazing! Here’s an sample of the magnificence of the hoodoos.

I am hoping that our next long-drive would be somewhere we haven’t been before. I’ve been looking into some affordable Branson vacation packages and I am thinking what a great idea it would be. Missouri is located just north of Dallas (where we are), and its not that long of a drive. Apparently, there is a lot to do at the “Live Music Capital of the World”. They have museums, thrill and water rides, family entertainment centers, golf, shopping, and of course the great outdoors. Just thinking about this makes me so excited. I’ll be sure to tell you all about our Branson experience, soon! :)

My daughter has been bugging me forever to get her a puppy. During our vacation in Manila, she got a bit attached to our 3 year old Shih Tzu, Horlicks, thus her wish. However, aside from the logistics of having a pet right now, there are also a lot of responsibilities related to pet ownership that I think my daughter is not yet ready for. One of the things I dream about is opening up my own breakfast bar or restaurant. Having a sister who cooks professionally, at least I already have one major point addressed (that is, if I could afford to hire her, haha!). However, aside from the usual major considerations in setting up shop, there are also many other options to think about. Part of it is helping keep the customers happy and entertained, which is where setting up a television system in a restaurant comes into play.

I’m sure that there are a lot of people like me who do not have enough time or money to take traditional courses due perhaps to conflicts with time at work or at home, as well as financial constraints. In today’s cut-throat professional arena, it pays to have an edge over the competition. Most professionals take the MBA route or try to secure an Organizational development degree, as most managerial positions require the skills from these degrees. However, I personally feel that the work force is already saturated with people holding these degrees and as such do not offer anything new or inspired to the table.

In this case, there are other avenues which professionals could explore, too, such as a Masters in Organizational Leadership, as offered by Gonzaga University. Their innovative online masters in leadership provides aspiring leaders with the tools necessary to lead in any organization, as well as open more career opportunities for management positions.

Spring is just around the corner and that means we can all go out and kick some balls! Well, sports balls I mean. :)

So, what do you need? Basketball, baseball, volleyball, football? Well, in my case, I might be needing some soccer equipment because my daughter has been bugging me forever to sign her up for soccer lessons this spring! The good thing is, I know exactly where to start looking for cleats and shinguards.

A few days ago, I just bought a 500GB external hard drive at one of those national electronics stores so that I can have a place to transfer all of my family’s collection of photos and videos. That purchase cost me $119.99 – a really great deal, I thought, at that time.

I wish I had the presence of mind to check out Buy.Com’s weekly deals first, though. I took a peek now and, to my utter dismay, discovered that they had a 640GB Western Digital Elements External Hard Drive on sale for only $79.99! Yikes! With this Buy.Com weekly deal, I could have had a pre-formatted, reliable, high capacity storage for thirty dollars less and 140GB more! Best of all, shipping is free! I can safely say that never have I regretted an impulse buy so much. Ouch!

Anyway, I showed this deal to my husband and I think he’s thinking about getting it for himself. After all, we seem to be a family who never runs out of the need for extra data storage. :)  And now that we’ve started browsing through Buy.Com, we can’t seem to stop! Well, aside from the extra storage, we are also tempted to get the 10.2MP Samsung Digital Camera (a steal, really, at $69.99!), and the Nokia Bluetooth Headset, too.

So don’t make the same mistake that I made, check out Buy.Com first. :)
