I need someone to explain the strange relationship between men and bacon. My husband had the day off so I asked him what did want for breakfast. His usual answer is cereal, but today he wanted bacon, eggs and some toast. He reminded me of the dog on the Beggin Strips commercial. That commercial seems to come on my Expert Satellite Georgia channels every time we are in the kitchen. I shudder to think what is really in those treats, but the dog sure loves them and my husband is the same way whenever he eats a full breakfast. I try to encourage him to eat more fruit and grains for breakfast, but he wants his plate full of greasy artery clogging food. I do not want him to make me a single mom before my time. I must give him some credit. He does have a job that requires him to be outside and he does physically work in all types of weather. When he comes home he is exhausted and usually showers, eats and falls asleep. I just wish he did not look so much like that dog when I mention bacon.

My family and I are big television watchers. Whenever we move to a new city or country, the first things we always have in our empty apartment is a TV as well as a satellite TV connection. My daughter has to have her animation channels, my husband his sports, and me my food and home improvement shows. Our family’s big move northward is pretty imminent – two weeks to go and its on to chilly Calgary for us. We have been looking forward to finally settling in our new adoptive country for a while now so we have had a lot of time to prepare for our trip. Part of our preparations include, of course, making sure that each one of my family members have the comfiest, warmest, yet most fashionable winter wear for all those low temp days and nights.

For my daughter especially, I made sure that the clothes I’ve bought for her would be perfectly warm for her school use and for everyday use as well. I’ve also invested in good boots for her, in order to keep her little toes toasty when she plays in the snow that she loves to much. I am truly excited for her and what lies ahead for her.

As for myself and my husband, we’re determined to keep each other warm, hehe! Of course, we would be in our fashionably warm jackets when we do this. :) We are ultimately doing this to provide a good, promising, stable home for our children, so we also expecting all our winter wear to last us all through those years with us.
