1. What was your first wristwatch like?
:: A classic Mickey Mouse watch! The one with Mickey’s hands going around the clock face. That was my favorite watch ever!

2. What lately seems to have been a thief of time?
:: Playing Facebook games. I sometimes start playing in the morning and the next thing you know, its dinner time! Grrr.

3. What were yesterday’s quietest five minutes like?
:: Very quiet. My baby was taking a nap and it was just such a happy feeling. :) Sort of like the question: does syntheroid work?

4. In what way have you lately been saving time?
:: By multitasking. Although, I do that everyday and I still end of running out of time. :)

5. We are often charged hourly rates for labor, but we never get to reciprocate in kind when promised completion times don’t match actual completion. If you could bill people for the time you spend waiting, what would be a reasonable amount?
:: Same as the hourly rate. An hour is still an hour of time that is wasted instead of being productive.

1. What’s a decorative font you really like?
:: The Lucida script font. I’ve used it for many formal communiques.

2. MS Word uses Times New Roman as the default plain font; Apple Pages uses Helvetica. Is there a plain font you like better?
:: I like the Arial font. I think its much cleaner than the other plain fonts.

3. In words per minute, how fast do you type?
:: Apparently, 50 words per minute (according to typingtest.com).

4. Who in your life is just your type, but for some reason not romantically compatible with you?
:: Matt Damon. I guess its self-explanatory why we can’t be romantically compatible. If I could only put his face on each one of our televisions and place it on pretty  tv stands with mount all across our house, I would!

5. What’s your blood type?
:: I am type O positive. :)

1. If they could invent a remote control for something in your house that doesn’t have one, what would you wish it to be?
:: I don’t know. I think they’ve already invented remotes for everything!

2. What could your car really use that they just hasn’t invented yet?
:: A temperature controllable steering wheel. I hate it when the steering wheel is too hot to hold in the summer, and freezing in the winter. I’m sure they’d be able to invent something that.

3. Who among your friends could probably be a great inventor if he or she had enough funding to do it?
:: Actually, my husband. He always tells me that if he had a lot of money, he would invent all kinds of stuff. He’s the only one I know who could probably turn Snakeskin Jasper Beads into jet fuel or something.

4. What invention seems to do its job in a less-satisfying manner than the old-fashioned way?
:: The electronic brooms that weigh a thousand pounds. I still prefer to use my trusty soft bristle broom
(walis tambo, as it is locally known in my country) to sweep my hardwood floor. I can’t live without it.

5. Lately, vending machines have gone beyond drinks and snacks: you can rent DVDs from them or even purchase iPods from them. What’s something your life could be improved by if it were available in vending machines?
:: Flipflops. So when your feet gets achy from wearing stilettos all the time, there’s a pair of flipflops waiting for you around the corner.

1. What business establishment’s recent closing was the most disappointing for you?
:: Please Mum. My daughter and I love shopping at that store so we were really disappointed when they closed. Also, I still have my rewards card that I wasn’t able to use! Boohoo!

2. At what place of business or service are you most likely to be the day’s last customer out the door?
:: The mall. :)

3. What place of business or service seems to be closed at times inconvenient to you?
:: Any business that’s closed on weekends. Sometimes, the weekends are the only time I could run my errands so the banks and the clinics are at the top of my list.

4. Where in the real world (not online) will you most likely spend your last 2011 money?
:: At the salon for a nice haircut to start of the new year. :)

5. What business or service has been the biggest blessing to you because it is always open?
:: The 24-hr Wal-mart. :D Like for example, even if I were still in Florida, the husband and I could run around checking out each and every car title loans tampa has to offer and still be able to do our groceries. I love being able to do that while not rushing.

1. What’s your favorite thing about cold weather?
:: That I get to wear layers of clothing that would effectively hide my less than sexy bulges, haha!

2. Soups and hot beverages seem to be everyone’s favorite cold-weather culinary combatant, but what’s another food that seems to take the bite out of the cold?
:: A good stew, and also a smoking hot pizza pie.

3. When the weather is just starting to turn cold but is not yet in full frigidity, what do you add to your bed until it’s time to break out the heavy artillery? (I said what, not whom!)
:: Our favorite fluffy blue fleece blanket. Unfortunately, we’ve used it for so many years that its not as fluffy as before, but it still is super warm and comfy.

4. What household chore seems especially unkind in these colder months?
:: All chores are unkind. Haha! I would say, taking out the trash! And grocery shopping, too. As soon as I come into the house, I’m just catatonic with frost that not even a shock of low cost pennsylvania electricity could warm my insides.

5. Among people you know, who seems most oblivious to cold weather?
:: My little baby! Everybody already seems bundled up but she’s still pink with warmth. :) I love her!

1. What’s your favorite ice cream topping?
:: Nuts! I know some people are allergic to it, and that’s too bad because I believe that nuts are the best. For the allergic peeps in Texas, do keep the contact information of a good allergy doctor austin at hand. :)

2. What’s your favorite pizza topping?
:: Meat! I’m a meatlovers pizza kind of girl. Pepperoni takes the top spot and then spicy sausages. Yum!

3. What’s your favorite thing to sprinkle cocoa powder on?
:: Coffee! :) I learned that from the local coffee chain, hehe.

4. What’s your favorite thing to put whipped cream on?
:: Coffee again! And pies, too.

5. What do you like to put upon a cracker?
:: Anything savory, like tuna, egg, or chicken salad spread, sardines, and ham and cheese, although peanut butter and nutella makes its presence once in a while. :)

1. What is the longest distance you’ve traveled (in one trip) by foot?
:: Hiking up to the Batad Rice Terraces in the Ifugao Province. It was never ending!

2. What is the longest trip you’ve taken by car?
:: For holiday, we drove 12 hours from Lexington, KY to Niagara Falls, NY. And then, at one time we also moved from Houston, TX to Miami, FL. Both seemed never ending, as well!

3. What is the longest trip you’ve taken by plane?
:: US to the Philippines and back. We always go through packs of duracell procell aaa batteries for my daughter’s techtoys on these trips!

4. What is the longest trip you’ve taken on some kind of water craft?
:: Coron, Palawan to Manila on a Superferry.

5. What is the longest trip you’ve taken aboard a bus or train?
:: AMTRAK from LA to San Francisco. Two days!!

1. What instructions do you have for your chauffeur this weekend?
:: Just to always drive safely :)

2. What instructions do you have for your personal chef this weekend?
:: Since I’m the personal chef, I’ll just say to myself that: it doesn’t matter what you cook (or what it tastes like) as long as you do it with love they have no choice but to eat it. :)

3. What instructions do you have for your errand-boy (or errand-girl) this weekend?
:: Don’t forget the kamatis!

4. What instructions do you have for your maid this weekend?
:: Take off your special Marcus lab coat. Take a break. Have a kitkat.

5. You don’t have a personal handyman, so I’m lending you mine. What three tasks would you like him to tackle this weekend?
:: Putty the holes the walls and then paint over them. Change the filters. And, that’s it. As it turns out, I do have a personal handyman and our home is almost always in tiptop shape. :)

Happy anniversary to Friday5. Thanks to this meme, I get all of my weekly posting obligations done. :) More power! More Friday5!

1. Of the five weekdays, which is the easiest to get through?
:: Friday, of course! First of all, I don’t have to wake up extra early to prepare my daughter’s lunch because they always have pizza Fridays at school. She also doesn’t have any after school activities on Fridays, so I don’t have to shuttle up and around, too. And by Friday, most of my chores at home are done and I’m left to relax and catch up on my soaps until its time for the hubby and my daughter to come home. :)

2. Which of the five little piggies is the most bizarrely characterized?
:: The one who ate roast beef. That creeps me out on so many levels. That alone tells you why I did not even think of Veterinary Technician Jobs as a career option.

3. Of fire, earth, metal, water, and wood, from which do you draw your power?
:: Definitely water. I’m a Pisces and we fishes thrive in the water. :)

4. Haribo Gummy Bears come in five flavors: pineapple (white), strawberry (green), raspberry (red), lemon (yellow) and orange (orange). Which is your favorite?
:: Orange!

5. Which of the five basic tastes (sweetness, sourness, bitterness, saltiness, and savoriness) best describes your personality?
:: Sweet! But sometimes, savory, too! :D

1. What transformation do you undergo on summer Fridays at midnight?
:: A deep sleeper. The husband takes over baby duties during the weekends. Love it!

2. What super power do the kids in your neighborhood seem to have?
:: Cuteness power. I adore the kids in our neighborhood.

3. Who (or what!) is your nemesis in these warm summer days?
:: Sweaty underarms, hehehe.

4. What is your trustiest weapon against the evil heat monster?
:: A good dip in the pool, or a run through the waterpark. And a nice huge bowl of ice cream while tinkering with the mini portables.

5. What seems to be invading your life lately, and how will you fend it off?
:: Boredom and laziness. I just think of the many chores that would crowd around me if I didn’t get to it and it gets my butt off of the couch.
