TeeVee

More Friday5!

1. What are your thoughts on late-night television talk shows?
:: I like watching them! Late night talk show hosts are super funny and witty, and their guests are always game for whatever no-holds-barred thing that could happen.

2. What television program is so bad you can’t believe anyone watches it?
:: Reality shows in the genre of The Real Housewives, or Jersey Shore. I couldn’t stand them, honestly. Watching it is like drowning in a pool of conceit and I need swimming pool lifts to even get out.

3. In what way have your television-viewing habits changed over the years?
:: I watch more soap operas now. Yikes!

4. If you were in charge of the universe, what changes might you make to television?
:: I would first make news programs report only positive news instead of all those crimes they show now. Most of it is sensationalized anyway and, instead of helping people feel better about their fellowmen, it just helps spread fear and bad vibes. Also, I would require more superbowl commercials! :D

5. What is most likely the very next thing you will be watching on television?
:: The Price is Right! Haha!

Unwanted Attention

More Friday5!

1. Among people you know, who seems to be most attractive to mosquitoes?
:: My daughter! Mosquitoes have a way of penetrating even the most powerful mosquito repellents when it comes to feasting on my daughter’s skin. Amongst the people in my family, she will always end up as the most red and polka-dotty.

2. Among people you know, who seems to be most attractive to illness-causing viruses and bacteria?
:: Thankfully, no one in my family is super susceptible to viruses and bacteria. We’re a sturdy bunch when it comes to contagious diseases so I really can’t think of anyone. I do have friends, though, who sneeze at the slightest indication of a simple puff of dust. :)

3. Among people you know, who seems to be most attractive to rip-off artists?
:: Unfortunately, my mom. But I guess its mostly because she’s a very trusting person and always assumes the best in people. I think she needs to install something akin to bounty hunter metal detectors that will easily detect bad people when they come close to her.

4. In what way were you recently the object of unwanted attention?
:: Nothing has happened recently so I guess I should be thankful for that. :)

5. When you go out with friends, which of you is most likely to be flirted with?
:: All of us! I have super gorgeous friends! :D

Protect Your Indentity

A few years ago, someone in Indiana used my checking account to buy a couple of high-end musical instruments for himself without my knowledge. Although my bank efficiently helped me recover the money that was taken out of my account, until now, I haven’t yet completely recovered from that unfortunate experience. Previously, I was a skeptic when it came to identity protection companies but now, I see the wisdom of putting the safety of your identity in the hands of trusted professionals.

IdentityHawk is one such company. They offer their customers the option to view the health of their identity protection, they also help identify areas that are most at risk, and then pursue proactive steps to reduce those risks. They help safeguard their customers’ assets, properties and, ultimately, their reputation. It’s definitely identity theft protection you can rely on.

So don’t let somebody else go on a shopping spree at your expense. Protect yourself now.

A Certain Song

More Friday5!

1. At what age did you realize you are no longer young?
:: When I turned thirty. That was when I finally (finally!) accepted having real responsibilities and then started to stress about them.

2. What was the longest line you ever had to stand in?
:: I remember standing in line at Disneyworld for a theme park ride, which I already forgot the name of. It took me about an hour and a half, so much longer than attaching a curt trailer hitch with my bare hands, before I got to go one that 2-minute ride. :P

3. In what way are you especially strong?
:: As a mother. I always feel invincible when it comes to the safety and well-being of my kids. I can and will do anything for them.

4. Who was the last person to inform you that you were wrong?
:: My husband. He’s my conscience. He always tells me I’m wrong (even though I know I’m always right).

5. When did you last have to bid someone so long?
:: When we left Texas last December, I had to say farewell to some very very good friends. I can’t wait until we get the chance to see each other again.

Clean

More Friday5!

1. What’s in need of a good cleaning?
:: My skin! Haha! I haven’t had the chance to go to a spa or a dermatologist this year yet. I’m so looking forward to a good facial, massage, and back acne treatment. :)

2. What’s your idea of good, clean fun?
:: Any fun thing that I can do and enjoy with my family is good, clean fun.

3. How clean is your driving record?
:: Relatively very clean. In my many years of driving (since I was 17 years old) I’ve had no tickets! :) I’ve been involved in a few scrapes here and there but nothing major.

4. When did you last make a clean escape?
:: I honestly can’t remember. Does that mean I’m not an escapist? :)

5. What are your feelings about dirty language?
:: I don’t stand for them. I believe that a person, particularly a well-educated one, has no need to resort to foul language. We can always find ways to express our feelings in a civilized manner.

March Madness

More Friday5!

1. When did you last have occasion to march anywhere?
:: At my college graduation years ago. I haven’t had the occasion to march anywhere lately, unless you count marching towards the delivery room when I had my baby last month. :)

2. What kind of hula-hooper are you?
:: A reasonably good one. Aside from hula-hooping on a step stool, I can’t do any other other mind-boggling tricks or such, but I can hula that hoop up to a hundred. :)

3. What kind of madness is most likely to infect you this weekend?
:: Spring madness! :) We have been waiting for spring for a few weeks now and it looked as if it would never come. So this weekend, we will probably be out celebrating the nice weather. :)

4. Under what circumstances this past week might you have had reason to shout, “SCORE!”
:: When my baby finally felt “at home” at home and became not as fussy as when she first arrived. Yey!

5. When did you last inadvertently dribble, drool, or otherwise let liquid escape your mouth while trying to keep it in?
:: I drool all the time when I think of dessert. Does that count? :)
