1. When did you take time this week to play?
:: Last Friday, my daughter and I went to play badminton with some new friends while hubby played a little basketball. It was a fun fun day. :)

2. This past week, what would you have liked to rewind so you could experience it again?
:: The sale at Nordstrom, haha! Didn’t know they had a sale going on so when I went to the mall that day, I wasn’t prepared! Haha!

3. What happened this week to give you pause?
:: When the US lost their World Cup bid to Ghana. Felt like wanting an electronic cigarette when the game was over. Sad.

4. From what situation this week would you have liked to eject yourself?
:: Being stuck in the hotel and doing nothing.

5. In what situation this week did you cede power to someone else?
:: Everyday, to my boss of a daughter. :) Major power play, if you ask me.

More Friday5!

1. In the past month, what was your biggest OOPS?
:: Nothing in the past month, thank goodness.

2. In the past month, what inspired you to let out your most heartfelt WHEW?
:: Permanent residency. Whew! Finally.

3. In the past month, what caused you to say, “HUH?”
:: We had to move again. Had we an RV, it probably is already surrendering by the sheer number of miles we’ve traveled so far. Good thing we won’t be stuck with any rv repairs, hehe!

4. In the past month, what influenced the most ZZZZZZZZs?
:: Being stuck in the hotel and doing nothing.

5. In the past month, what was most GRRRRRRRRR-worthy?
:: The people here at our hotel do not know how to count. They overcharged us for an accounting mistake. It’s all fixed now, though, no thanks to the lady at the reception. Can’t wait for our apartment to be ready! GRRR.

More Friday5!

1. What is absolutely the best cookie you’ve ever had?
:: This question had me stumped for a while. I can’t tell you how many cookies I’ve tried – from home-baked to commercial. I have to say, though, that one of the best cookies I’ve ever had (and still do remember) is a Colossal Chocolate Chip Cookie from Ghirardelli. Each cookie is big – like half a pound each – and super crispy on the outside but truly melts in your mouth inside. My daughter and I tried it the first time in San Francisco (authentic, huh!) but now, every time we see a Ghirardelli store anywhere, we always make it a point to buy at least one (to share, of course!). Even a seasoned Texas Maritime lawyer can’t sink this one down.

2. What is a cookie you really don’t care for?
:: Gingerbread cookies. Especially now, I see Gingy in all of them.

3. What are some other cookies you are rather fond of?
:: Actually, anything with chocolate chips and nuts. I even like the cookies at Subway – really thin and bendy but nice and buttery.

4. Grocery-store cookies are, of course, never as good as anything that comes out of someone’s kitchen, but what’s a packaged cookie that’s still pretty good?
:: Mrs. Fields cookies are ok, and I’d take an Oreo any day. If could, though, I’d rather choose those Tollhouse cookies that you still have to bake at home. My daughter and I like to watch those little squares melt, then become our round, warm, gooey, snacks.

5. In general, do you think cookies should be chewy and gooey, or should they be crispy and crunchy?
:: Like the cookies at Ghirardelli, I love them crispy on the outside and chewy in the inside. I don’t know, I just love them like that. :)

1. Who could be described as a nightmare in pink?
:: My husband, probably. I would hyperventilate if I’d ever see him wearing a hot pink attire or something. Friends, do prepare a portable oxygen concentrator.

2. How long does it take you to type “The quick red fox jumps over the lazy dog” on your cell phone or computer keyboard?
:: On the keyboard, pretty fast – like less than 20 seconds. However, even though my cell phone has a qwerty keyboard, my fingers are just too fat to type the words on the phone precisely or even fast enough.

3. What item in a plain brown wrapper did you most recently receive?
:: Does a Bloomingdale’s Brown Bag count? :) A nice scarf from a really good friend.

4. Who’s got the loveliest cinnamon skin?
:: Jada Pinkett-Smith.

5. When did you last take a walk in the lonely silver rain?
:: I honestly can’t remember. Probably a long long time ago. :)
