10 Things You Wont Miss About Winter
I have a love-hate relationship with winter so this list is a bit half-hearted, hehe! It’s good that I now live in a state where it hardly snows, but I did used to live somewhere else where it snowed big time so I do have some winter angst up my sleeves.
1. My flaky, dry skin. And no amount of moisturizer helps. :(
2. Too dark out. I live for the sunshine so it gets totally depressing when I don’t see a lot of it.
3. Everything is white and bare. It’s nice to have snow once in a while – all pristine and clean. But in the course of season, you just get tired of not seeing the true colors of nature and everything gets pretty drab.
4. Icy roads and ice cubes that pelt the car. Not the best condition for driving your kid around.
5. Freezing car. I have to raise both hands in surrender on this one. My car doesn’t have heated seating so its also does not make for the best condition to be driving around with a frozen butt.
6. Cabin Fever. Save for skiing and tubing trips, you really can’t go anywhere because of the low temps, so you’re inevitably stuck at home. Even rv camping doesn’t appeal as much. And no poolside barbecue parties? Can you imagine that?
7. Extra loads of laundry. Because of the additional layers of clothing you have to wear.
8. Runny Noses. And the flu, if you have been as unlucky as I this season. Mostly, I also hate when my daughter gets sick, too.
9. Getting Fat. Because I don’t sweat as much and all the fatty stuff just coagulates in the wrong places, hehe!
10. Increased energy bills. Because you can’t not turn on the heater – its either you pay the bill or turn into a popsicle.
And that my friends are the things that I am not going to miss about winter. :)

Hi mama mee :) have you tried eucerin as lotion/moisturizer? that is what only works for me on winter :)

my main gripe? STATIC!!!! every freakin’ time! lahat na lang ata ng hawakan ko, i get static shock! buset.
