Working It

This one’s pretty hard. I am tempted to write “Pretty Woman” ten times. :D

As the title implies, these are the 10 songs that I think best describes me.

1. At Last (Etta Jones). At last my love has come along, my lonely days are over, and life is like a song.

2. True Colors (Cyndi Lauper). If this world makes you crazy and you’ve taken all you can bear, you just call me up because you know I’ll be there.

3. Bitch (Meredith Brooks). I’m a bitch, I’m a lover, I’m a child, I’m a mother, I’m a sinner, I’m a saint, I do not feel ashamed, I’m your hell, I’m your dream, I’m nothing in between, You know you wouldn’t want it any other way.

4. I’ll Be (Edwin McCain). I’ll be your crying shoulder, I’ll be love’s suicide, I’ll be better when I’m older, I’ll be the greatest fan of your life.

5. I’m Yours (Jason Mraz). I’ve been spending way too long checking my tongue in the mirror and bending over backwards just to try to see it clearer, but my breath fogged up the glass and so I drew a new face and I laughed. I guess what I’ll be saying is there ain’t no better reason, to rid yourself of vanity and just go with the seasons. It’s what we aim to do, our name is our virtue. But I won’t hesitate no more, no more it cannot wait. I’m sure there’s no need to complicate. Our time is short, this is our fate, I’m yours.

6. Anyway (Martina McBride). God is great, but sometimes life ain’t good. And when I pray it doesn’t always turn out like I think it should. But I do it anyway … I do it anyway

7. So Far Away (Carole King). Traveling around sure gets me down and lonely. Nothing else to do but close my mind. I sure hope the road don’t come to own me, There are so many dreams I have yet to find.

8. Hands (Jewel). If I could tell the world just one thing it would be that we’re all OK. And not to worry ’cause worry is wasteful and useless in times like these. I won’t be made useless, I won’t be idle with despair, I will gather myself around my faith for light does the darkness most fear.

9. In My Daughter’s Eyes (Martina McBride). In my daughter’s eyes I am a hero. I am strong and wise and I know no fear. But the truth is plain to see, she was sent to rescue me. I see who I want to be in my daughter’s eyes.

10. Mamma Mia (ABBA). Just because that’s my name, hehehe!

This was quite tough! I love music and I know I have a lot of great songs running around my head, if only it were possible to buy memory, just a few extra ones so I could easily recall all of them in a snap.
