LP21: Mithi

Litratong Pinoy

Tagged [I Love Shopping]

An affirmation tag about my favorite kind of therapy from Jeanny. Thanks sis!

Credits: Paper & Elements Created by Kim Jensen / Layout by JennyL

Actually, contrary to the image I may (or may not) portray at times, I’m really not a shopper at heart. I’m more of the in and out type – I usually know what I want from memory (from too much online research, haha!), so I just go into the store and then, once I have what I want, I get out. My only exceptions would probably be handbag (window) shopping – you can let me loose in a handbag boutique or a department store and I could just stay there for hours at a time in order to ogle, hehe – and clothes shopping for my daughter.

If you would invite me to go out and shop, sure I’ll go! I never turn down the chance to get out of the house from time to time. But if I would be made to choose, either to go out shopping or just stay home by myself, I’d most probably tell you I’ll prefer to stay home. However, if I would be made to choose between housework and shopping, it’s a wholly different matter. :)

So yes, I do love shopping but probably not as much as some of you guys do. :)

Online Casino Bonuses

All-Casino-Bonuses.Com is the most updated online casino bonus portal I’ve seen so far. Who knew that gamers would no longer need to step foot in some smelly, smoky, casino facility in order to get the same high with every roll of the dice. At the same time, players get free casino bonuses, too. How much fun is that?

The site, All-Casino-Bonuses.Com, actually searches the web every day, looking for new USA online casino bonuses and promotions, special bonus codes, and casino coupons for everyone, not just US players. The site also offers various guides depending on what you’re searching for, such as casinos by software, blackjack, baccarat, roulette, and even video poker guides, including online casino news and updates. Gamers can also subscribe to the site’s RSS feeds or sign-up for their newsletter in order to easily receive hot bonus offers from Top Online Casinos.

I’m not a gambling person myself but, for those of you who are, do check out the site. I’m sure that the online casino experience would also be as enjoyable as the real thing and, together with all those free casino bonuses, it may even be more fun and challenging. Just don’t forget to play responsibly.

Tagged [A Mushy Tag]

No, DPhatGirl, I haven’t done this tag yet. :)

RULES: 1. This tag should be passed on to your friends. 2. Visit the blog of the person you got this tag from. 3. Leave a comment on her/his tag post. Be sure to thank her/him for this tag. 4. Highlight and link all the list of people who accepted this tag by visiting their blog site. 5. There are 10 questions that you need to answer but you will be the one to write the 10th question for the next person you want to pass this tag. Here are the questions. Be honest with your answers.

1. How did you meet your husband?
:: At the birthday party of my inaanak, Jon. Soon-To-Be-Hubby’s his Ninong, too. As it turns out, Jon’s parents set us up pala to really meet, with matching fingers crossed, haha! Time to uncross those fingers, Emmie! :)

2. Where did you go on your first date?
:: We saw a Repertory production at RCBC’s CPR Theater – it was called “It Had To Be You”. How appropriate, hehe.

3. When was your first intimate kiss?
:: Intimate? Secret!

4. How many girlfriends he had in the past? Do you honestly know?
:: Per his disclosure, four serious ones and a lot of not-so-serious ones that I wasn’t able to keep track of.

5. What is his ethnicity?
:: Undeniably Asian – minsan Pinoy, minsan Chinese (kahit hindi), haha!

6. What is his favorite food?
:: Sinigang na baboy and Aunti Toni’s Menudo and Kaldereta.

7. What is he like if he is mad?
:: Undeniably mad. He’s pretty vocal about his madness, eheste, feelings.

8. What are the things he did you thought is the most romantic thing he’d ever done?
:: Can I answer MTM? MTM, then.

9. Describe how he proposed to you.
:: He was direct, absolute, and (since he proposed to me almost every day for a whole month) pretty firm to the point of obstinacy, hehe. Pero I loved it! I loved him. :)

10. Opposites attract, or In Sync?
:: Opposites na in sync. We’ve long ago realized that we’re cut from different molds but it’s pretty amazing how we complement each other…most of the time, haha! :)

MSQ6: Meeting The Challenge of Motherhood

MommaStuff Question #4:What adjustments did you make in your life to fit the role of a mother? Can you share some tips to make your tasks easier?

Here’s My Answer:

Motherhood, or parenting for that matter, is an ever evolving thing. There really aren’t any books or advice or solid preparation that will totally prepare any woman for this challenge – I’ve been a mom for almost five years and I’m still grasping at straws.

Anyway, here are some of the things I’ve learned over the years. They’re not fool-proof but they help somewhat. :)

1. Keep Fit.
Mommyhood is a very demanding 24/7 thing. Bawal magkasakit! Like an olympian, you are expected to do everything faster, higher, stronger – at least where you kid/s is/are concerned. I know I’m a bit remiss in this but, having a healthy body gives you the physical and mental stamina to make it through a challenging day.

2. Patience is a Virtue.
There’s no off switch where dependence, inquisitiveness, crankiness, and stubborness are concerned. If you know how to count up to one billion, learn to make it a trillion.

3. Have A Sense of Humor
I used to be pretty stuck up. Well, not anymore! It’s easier to share a bond with your kid if you view his/her world through your child’s eyes. Messy house? Permanent scribbles on walls? Cookie dough all over the kitchen floor? You can easily clean those up but you can’t beat the fun that was etched in your child’s memories forever. Besides, would you like your child to remember you for all eternity as the “mommy na laging kunot ang noo”?

4. Prioritize
The biggest prioritization that happened in my life was when I chose to become a SAHM. Once I decided that I would be one, I just rolled with it completely without any regrets. Now, everyday, I take my priorities one step further – by going into the details: play with Ninna today, do the laundry tomorrow. Blog today, give Ninna a bath tomorrow. That sort of thing, hehe. The sense of structure and organization affords sanity. Promise.

5. Practice Makes Perfect.
It helps when you do something over and over again, until it becomes second nature to you. Cooking Ninna’s favorite adobo has become so second nature to me, for instance, that I don’t stress about it as much as I did once before. Same with giving her a bath, clipping her toenails, teaching her how to clean up, or read, or dance. Routine rocks!

6. You are not Superwoman.
No matter how much you convince yourself, you can not do everything. You will make mistakes. You will not be able to catch your child’s every dapa or prevent each and every bukol. You will get tired, and annoyed, and PMS-y. But you don’t have to be so hard on yourself as long as you know that you did your very best. Communicate with your husband, your friends, your family. You won’t be less of a mom if you should show your weaknesses – after all, we’re only human.

7. Pray
Amen.

LP20: Liwaliw

Litratong Pinoy

~~~
Kung ikaw ang papapiliin, saan sa pito ka magliliwaliw? Tignan DITO sa aking isa pang LP entry.
Beauty
Will this help? :)
Where does beauty come from? Inside or outside? In the eye of the beholder or the holder? Under a knife or under the skin?
Loose or compact?
LP19: Ako
Litratong Pinoy
Ito ang litratong aking ginagamit bilang avatar kung kinakailangan.
Bakit nga ba mrspartygirl ang aking napag-isipang gamitin bilang “pseudonym” sa larangan ng blogging? Simple lang. Inisip ko lamang kung paano ko pinakamabuting mailalalarawan ang aking kasulukyang buhay sa isang pangalan at ang “mrspartygirl” ang masasabi kong pinaka-tugmang ngalan para sa akin.
Partygirl” dahil isa akong taong laging sinisikap na i-enjoy ng lubusan ang bawat minuto ng aking buhay. Wala akong pakundangan, basta pwedeng pagka-pulutan ng experience, gagawin ko. Basta pwedeng pandagdag sa pangkwento sa mga magiging apo, gagawin ko. Lahat ng klaseng gimik – mapa-wild, mapa-laidback, mapa-cultured, mapa-jologs – handa kong subukan, o malamang ay nasubukan ko na, haha! Ito ay upang pagdating ng panahon, pwede kong sabihing “been there, done that”. No regrets, ika nga.
Mrs” dahil ako ngayon ay, obviously, isa nang maybahay. At ang aking mga gimik ngayon ay hindi na katulad ng mga gimik ko noon bilang misspartygirl – ang mga party ko ngayon ay ang aking araw-araw na experience bilang isang asawa, ang aking mga exploits sa kusina, at ang aking paglalakbay tungo sa pagiging mabuting ina – at lahat ito ay ine-enjoy ko ng lubos-lubusan. Partying on, ’til the break of dawn. :)
~~~

Sana’y wala nang wakas na mga hakbang DITO sa aking isa pang LP entry.
