WS18: Movie Knight
Our weekend was a total rave! First, we went to see a drive-in movie for the very first time!

Those are the cars in front of us, hehe.
Because it was a Friday night, we made sure to arrive by 7pm to beat the long weekend lines. Since we had two hours to kill (the show was scheduled to start at 9:30pm), it was spent eating our take-outs (had we known, we could have brought a grill and had a barbecue, too, like the other moviegoers) and chatting to high heavens with our good friends.

A fun tailgate party of McDonalds take-outs. :)

My hubby and daughter comfortably seated on our portable “theater seats”.
What did we watch? The Dark Knight, of course! And I could never say “Wow!” enough. That movie was probably the best Batman movie ever. A huge “ka-pow!” and “ka-boom!” to the Batman of old.

Why so sad? Because he died, even as he gave life to Joker.
I knew that this was not a movie for kids so, while the adults were watching the movie, the younger kids were left to their own devices (literally) inside the cars. The moms had their Nintendo DS and PSPs at the ready for the kids. As for Ninna, I brought along her portable DVD player and she an her friend Josh watched Dora and Diego all night long, hehe.
What’s great about this is, the seven bucks per adult ticket gets you, not one, but two movies! The Dark Knight was double featured with Get Smart.

Agent 86 Steve Carrell is sooo funny! And Agent 99 Anne Hathaway is so pretty.
Unfortunately, as it was already 1:30am, we weren’t able to finish the second movie because both the kids and the adults were already sleepy (and cranky, haha!) so we decided to head on home. As we crept away with our headlights off, we were pretty thankful that our car insurance was up to date.
Can’t wait until we do this again! :)

Thanks for viewing our double featured outdoor date at the Starlight Drive-In, Atlanta, GA.

cool! we are also looking forward to our first soon! i am now better, thanks;) btw…
Cool shots for WS! Mine’s up too hope you can drop by… Have a great day ahead!
You had fun! I haven’t been to a drive-in movie since I was a kid.
I was planning on watching this in the big screen with the kids… do you think its too violent for the kids [they're 11 and 8 y.o.]?
Aaah drive-ins! I’m glad there are still some out there. I thought they were history.
My grandfather ran a drive in. During the time I was growing up, I would visit him in the summers and would often get to see the same movie every night for a week
My favorite was “One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest”. Many movies are a lot better when they’re on the big screen. The Dark Night must have been a blast!
Uy, ang saya naman! BBQ sa drive in, pwede pala dyan? sana maka experience ako ng ganyan.
and I know….nakakalungkot si Heath , tapos si Matilda yung kid nya, carbon copy nya di ba?
This is so fun!
My just turned 7yo son has been hinting about this for days.
“next week, the dark knight na”
“Nay, tomorrow na ang dark knight”
“Nay, may dark knight na sa movie”
Susme, but we haven’t watched yet, dami pa yata tao.
ang saya naman at double feature pa! hindi pa kami nakapagdrive-in pero nakapag movie in the park na kami once. sa saturday, may pa-movie in the park ang parish namin, “evan almighty”. ewan ko kung manonood kami. baka. :D
wow, that’s nice :) i wish there is also a drive in here in pinas :)
