Tagged [Domino Tag]

This tag is from Aggie and Jen. Thanks for this pretty easy tag, girls! Sorry it took so long for me to get to it. Like a stack of dominoes, I think I just needed a little push to get going. :)

{BEGIN COPY}

Rule: Copy the entire list and add your name at the bottom. And tag at least 5 friends. (But you can tag as many as you like).

Note: Please link the blog where you posted the tag :) We appreciate you linking all your blogs but make sure you post the tag in the blogs too.

I am passing this on to Tin, Abby, and Jeanny.

We Need A Real Vacation

We all need a vacation. And by “vacation”, I mean a truly relaxing one. Not one of those where you feel you need another vacation after you’ve just returned from the last one. :) We all know that feeling, don’t we?

Well, one of the things that can help make vacation planning easier is by using tools to create, plan, and save, such as those from WeNeedAVacation.Com. One of the things that I like about the site is that registed members are able to rank ‘favorite’ properties within their vacations, and share comments and thoughts about choosing which properties to rent. What’s more, vacationers can see more of the properties they are considering renting by browsing through the videos of rental properties submitted by the homeowners. This way, renters can already see, for instance, some Nantucket vacation rentals before making a decision. No surprises, no stress.

Go on, you need a vacation. I know I do. :)

The City

Home to the tallest building in the US and Oprah, and second only to NYC as the largest city in the country, I’m sure you know which city I am talking about.

At the time this picture was taken, Chicago was celebrating the historic win of the Chicago White Sox in the 2005 World Series. I’m sure they would have done the same for the Cubs, if that were the case.

LP18: Dalampasigan

Litratong Pinoy

Naglalaro sa dalampasigan ng Florida.

Nagmumuni-muni sa dalampasigan ng California.

Coast to coast di ba?

Have A Seat

When my brother, my aunt, and I opened a small campus cafe years ago, we didn’t have the luxury of having high-quality, customizable restaurant seating product choices available to us. We had to resort to generic, low-quality commercial bar furniture that we inevitably had to replace after a few months of solid use.

Nowadays, I’m glad to see that well-designed restaurant chairs and barstools, as well as table tops and bases, are now easily available online at affordable prices through AffordableSeating.Net. You can even use their online vinyl/finish preview tool to ensure that the finished products meet all your design expectations. Their Quickship program offers a short delivery time of 7 to 14 days on selected items and they are one hundred percent confident that you will enjoy your shopping experience with them.

Bar owners, what more is there to say except, grab a chair, sit back, and relax. :)

Tagged [Power Of Prayer]

Maver and Juliet passed on this prayer to me. I will not be tagging anyone but I do hope everyone reading this will take the time to offer a moment of prayer for the fatalities and survivors of the MV Princess of the Stars tragedy.

Prayer for the MV Princess of the Stars fatalities and survivors:

Dear God,

We pray that you comfort each bereaved family everyday as they grieved for their loss, we pray that you will supply all their needs, we pray for the survivors that they may have a good life after the tragedy, that you will bless them and let them know in the deepest part of their heart that in spite of what have happened, you LOVE and CARE for them. This we pray in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

PS. I also pray that food, clothing, medical supplies, and comforting hugs would become available for all those who need them. Amen.

WS19: Pica-Pica Afternoon

Last Friday, our apartment community put together a Food Tasting Event, exclusive for its residents, and participated in by some of the best restaurants in our area. I am going to tell you right now that the following pictures may not be able to do it justice because I was too busy eating and sampling to take decent pictures, hehe.

The restaurants that participated included:

McCormick and Schmicks, which served a wonderful crab cake salad for the day.

FirebirdRotisserie and Sports Grill, which served some really yummy ranch chicken wings, salad, and chili.

They even gave away free lunch coupons so that’s one less meal for me to cook at home, hehe.

Meanwhile, Tin Drum Cafe served three kinds of rolls: the standard spring rolls, crab and cheese rolls (yummy!), and chocolate spring rolls (I must have had four of these! Yum!).

Ninna feasted on baked goodies from Alon’s Bakery. Her favorite (and mine) were the chocolate fudge cookies.

California Pizza Kitchen also had a booth, as did Doc Green’s Gourmet Salad and Grill and Boneheads (I finally got to taste their piri-piri chicken, which I wasn’t able to order before and, yes, it was really good!).

I even took home some of this, Mimi’s Cafe‘s spinach and artichoke dip.

The guys from Lucky China brought in various kinds of spring rolls and sushi!

And my personal faves of the day were the smoothies and italian ice samples from Rita’s and Robek’s.

Perfect for that extra warm day.

Drinks were free-flowing, cheesecake bites were abundant, and there was even tropical music playing in the background (that Ninna really enjoyed, hehe!).

What can I say? It was a fun, and definitely filling weekend for us. Truly a passport to pica-pica heaven. I hope they’ll do this every week, haha!

Thanks for viewing our fully stuffed weekend at our front yard. :)

Our little drummer lunch HERE at my other WS entry.

LP17: Kanluran

Litratong Pinoy

~~~
DITO ang papuntang kanluran, sa aking isa pang LP entry.
Movement
*A re-post from HERE.
Jump. Splash. Leap. Twist. Dive. Resurface. Smile! Can you see and feel their graceful movements?
Dolphins at work at the Miami Seaquarium.
