Hati ang aking damdamin pagdating sa mga ganitong pagkakataon. Dapat nga ba silang ikulong, sa interes ng agham, ng kamalayan, o di kaya’y para sa kanilang kaligtasan? O hayaan na lang silang maging malaya sa kanilang mga natural na tahanan?

Tinatanaw kaya niya ang kalayaan sa kabila ng bakuran?

Wala man rehas, hindi pa rin ramdam ang kalayaan kung ikaw ay nababalot ng pag-iisa.

Naghahanap ng pag-asang makilulan sapagkat walang kapangyarihang makalipad, makatakas.

When I was just a little girl, I asked my mother, “what will I be?”.

Will I be a chef?

Will I be an archeologist?

Will I be a candymaker and work for Willy?

Will I be a news anchor?

Will I be a soda bottler?

Will I be a veterinarian?

Will I be a cashier, a bagger, a stocker?

Will I be a clown?

And my Mom answered:

It doesn’t matter, sweetie. Just as long as you make a lot of money. :D

And since then, I’ve put my mom’s words of wisdom on engraved plaques. *wink*

Kid’s Question:

If you were the ruler of the world and you could have anything you wanted as well as have people do anything you wanted, do you think you would get greedy and mean or would you be a good and fair ruler?

My Answer:

Digging deep into my ram (or random access memory for all you un-geeks out there), from my experience of being the eldest among my siblings, I think, without a doubt that I will be a mix of greedy and good, hehe. Being a ruler, you have to adapt depending on the situation. If the situation calls for, for example, serious arbitration, I have been told that I’m objective when it comes to making decisions so I know I can be a good arbiter. However, having been the partygirl that I am, I know that I can charm/ cajole/ mandate anyone to “sponsor” my parties. If I can lift no finger to do anything, then I wouldn’t.

So I guess that’s it. I won’t delude anyone into thinking that I’m a perfectly just, good, and saintly ruler because ultimately I’m only human and I’m not without fault. :)

Ang litratong ito ay kuha sa pag-iisang dibdib ng aming mga mabuting kaibigan na sina Ella at Sherwin. Narito ang bagong kasal sa harap ng simbahan kung saan sila ay ikinasal. Maikling panahon lamang ang preparasyon para sa kanilang kasal subalit hindi mo mababakas ang kahit anong ligalig sa kanilang mga dibdib. Pati ang pari na nagkasal sa kanila ay nagmungkahi na isa sa pinakamagandang kasal ito na kanyang i-sinelebra. Tingin ko, dala ito ng umaapaw na pag-ibig nila sa isa’t-isa.

At syempre, hindi pwedeng hindi ko ipagmalaki ang aking napakagandang anak nang siya at ang kanyang kaibigang si Catie ay naimbitahan upang magsilbing flower girls sa kasal na ito. Ito ang pinaka-unang pagkakataon na si Ninna ay naging flower girl kaya naman napaka-espesyal ng okasyon na ito para sa amin ng aking asawa.

Huling-huli sa litrato na ito kung gaano sila naglilikot sa simbahan habang nagpapatuloy ang seremonya. Ay yay yay.
