Making A Traveler
My daughter was only six months old when we went Washington dc sightseeing. This was one of our most memorable vacations as a family, mainly because it was also our very first time to take our baby on a long drive (eleven hours!) and, surprisingly, it was a relatively easy one! We knew right then that our little girl was destined to be a traveler - just like my husband and I.

My baby and I at the Lincoln Memorial.
After browsing through online travel guides, we decided that our first stop would have to be the National Mall (which the shopaholic in me first thought was a shopping center! Imagine my disappointment, hehe!). We had our customary pictures taken at the Capitol Building, the Smithsonian, the Washington Monument, and the White House. We also met up with my college friend, John, who then acted as our city tour guide.
As the Fourth of July weekend looms, we are already planning for our long weekend jaunt. Having recently moved here to Georgia, we are looking for things to do in Atlanta that we haven’t done before. How about you? Have you already made plans for the weekend?
By the way, you should also sign up for the Trusted Travels eNewsletter for a chance to win a handheld GPS, like I did. Trusted Tours and Attractions offers discounted tickets to the best sightseeing tours in 23 cities across America. Hurry, their offer ends June 30th.
