Sticky Solution
As a field engineer, my husband uses his personal car to drive to his work sites. There have been quite a few times when his presence on the site causes some confusion, there there are even times when the police would approach him mistaking him for a trespasser. The confusion is mostly brought about by his car being unmarked with the logo or name of his company.
I have often seen a lot of personal cars quickly transformed into a “company” car through the use of car magnets, wherein the logo of any company is printed on a magnetic sheet and is then stuck to the sides of the car giving it an instant, yet removable, identifying marker.
I mentioned this idea to hubby and he said that those car magnets should actually be standard issue among the field engineers. I pointed him to the VistaPrint website, too, because it offers a wide array of printing services, which are not only limited to business cards, checks, rubber stamps, and announcements, but also car magnets, which could be easily customized to the clients’ needs. Plus, the cost of having these magnets made is quite reasonable, so I’m sure this step towards a little more professionalism will definitely fall within the company’s budget.
