David And Goliath
There’s an ongoing lawsuit between a David and a Goliath. Experian, a major credit bureau here in the United States, has filed a case against LifeLock, a credit fraud protection company, essentially for limiting the credit bureau’s ability to sell your information. Credit bureaus here in the US basically hold all your credit information, which are then accessed by lending companies for them to know your eligibility to apply for a loan or a credit card.
Lifelock is not standing down on this issue because they believe that each person’s personal information should be kept safe. And, if setting up fraud alerts and limiting the number of people who have access to that information is key to this protection guarantee, then I think Lifelock should be able to practice their business without the credit bureaus breathing down their backs.
