Tag Debt Servicing, Second Installment
The holidays have long ago come and gone (well, actually it has just been a month but doesn’t it feel so long ago?) and I still have some holiday tags hanging. Just for the spirit of it, I’m going to try and answer them right now. Anyway, it’s good karma to start a new year without any utangs, right? And obviously, I won’t be tagging anybody else for these memes. Unless, of course, you want to answer them in advance for the next Christmas season. :D Humor me.
As usual, tag instructions after the jump.
FROM EM: A TAG ABOUT THE MEANING OF CHRISTMAS
I am to make a paragraph or two about what Christmas personally means to me.
For me, Christmas is all about Jesus. His coming to our world represents how much God loves us that He sent His son to save us from our sins, which is why Christmas, to me, represents selflessness, forgiving, thanksgiving, and love. :)

FROM THESS: 2007 1ST CHRISTMAS TREE BLOG PARADE

I know, I’m super duper late for the parade, hehe. However, at the time this blog parade was spearheaded by BluePanjeet, honestly, we did not have a Christmas tree. We knew that we were going away for the holidays so we didn’t bother putting up a tree anymore. Besides, the last time we moved, we dropped off our Christmas tree at the Goodwill store and we didn’t have any plans of buying another one so that we can drop that off too once we move again.
We actually planned on getting a real tree (our parish was selling trees for charity). Pero sa totoo lang, naawa ako sa mga puno. You know, they chop it down just to doll it up tapos tapon na sa trash kapag nawalan na ng silbi. Kawawa naman di ba? So, I scratched that idea.
I was so excited pa naman sana to have a tree, and then Ninna and I would decorate it with edible ornaments! Popcorn strings, candy canes, chocolate balls, gingerbread men, a sugar star or angel, etc. Haaay. Kaya lang when I realized that there was this huge possibility na ako lang ang kakain lahat nun (Ninna doesn’t eat candy and hubby isn’t appetized at the thought of eating something that has been hanging on a tree for a month) – nasuya ako, hehe!
Anyway, since we were spending the holidays in California, we contacted Santa and gave him the forwarding address to this tree – my aunt’s 17-foot monster, hehe. For sure, Santa can’t miss this one.

Ninna at the foot. Tree almost didn’t fit the frame, and I was already on my tummy taking this pic.

One from the top. Still doesn’t fit, hehe.
We didn’t do anything to decorate it, but we sure loved posing in front of it, hehe.
Ho ho ho! :D

FROM NELL: A NEW YEAR TAG
What is my New Year’s Resolution and what kind of person am I when it comes to fulfilling my resolution? Am I quite serious about it, am I flippant about it, do I do it because I feel pressured to, or I do not do it at all?
Well…
For this year, my new year’s resolution is simply to have/live a healthier lifestyle. I know that if I want to keep up with my little bundle of energy, I, at least, have to be physically and mentally fit to do it.
Interestingly, I have had this resolution for the past maybe ten or fifteen years and it’s still my resolution now. I guess that means I’m not that serious about this resolution at all. Probably, I have been a little flippant about it but the age factor has never crept up on me before like it’s doing now. I want to do it. Serious. So I’m getting off my butt and starting right now.
Or maybe later, lunch muna ako, hehe.
~~~
Yey, slowly but surely, I’m getting through all of the tags. One more installment and I’m more or less done. :)
~~~
Anyway, since we’re in the spirit of the holidays, let me just greet you all:
恭喜發財,紅包拿來 :D
TAG INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE MEANING OF CHRISTMAS
Make a paragraph or two regarding your personal meaning of Christmas, below the paragraph of the one who tagged you and you may put your name at the end of the paragraph linking back to your blog or right to the post of this particular tag. Then you tag as many as you can.
Start copy here:
Christmas for me is the ultimate reminder on how much God loves us, that He gave His only Son Jesus Christ to be our Savior. For me, its a celebration of love and a time to share our blessings to others.. a time for giving and reaching out to the less fortunate and it’s also a wonderful time to be with your family. Christmas is not just all about santa claus or the gifts that you will receive or for shopping, we should always remember that Jesus is the reason for the season and let us reflect on how much God loves us. – Just Let Go/Pieces of Me
Christmas is about giving love, forgiving. This remind us how lucky and how God love us when he gave us his only son Jesus Christ. A time for sharing our blessing to our family, friends and to others. – Celebrate Life/My Journey.
Christmas for me is not the new things that we have and enjoying the bounties in life but remembering that someone is born to redeem us from our sins and making sure of our salvation Teebob.
The true meaning of christmas for me is sharing, giving, expressing love to one another, and remebering that there is one person up there, who is born on the 25th of december to save us from everything . A lot of people told me that christmas is for kids. yes, it’s true but I prefer to say that christmas is for everybody and sharing love to one another is the keyword remeber, “you can give without loving but you can’t love without giving “. Alaverde33
Christmas is an annual holiday that celebrates the birth of Jesus. The date of the celebration is traditional and is not considered to be his actual date of birth. Christmas festivities often combine the commemoration of Jesus birth with various secular customs, many of which have been influenced by earlier winter festivals. In most places around the world Christmas day happens on December 25. It’s a special time of the year – a season of love and a season of giving. A time to share, to give and of course to receive a wonderful gift from beloved..Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow.
As the word Christmas itself convey, this day is the celebration of Christ. It’s his day since this is the day we celebrate his birthday. Everything we do on this day should be in his honor…just like we get the honor when we celebrate our birthdays. So do what you normally do on this day but remember to give the honor to the celebrant himself, Christ. Juliana of Pinay Wahm and Teacher’s Corner
Christmas for me is a time for selflessness. Its a time to reach out to family and friends in the spirit of peace and humility. Christmas is also for every child and the child in every grown up. More than receiving, its a wonderful thing to give this season. Giving doesn’t have to be in the form of material things, but most importantly its the gift of time and unconditional love that counts. Indeed, Christ is the reason for this season…. – Abby of Mom And The City
Christmas for me is counting our blessings for the year that was and sharing every blessing we have to our loved ones. And most of all Christmas is for thanking Christ for giving us his only life. Christmas is beyond gift giving and more of love, forgiveness and prayers. – Something Purple
Christmas is all about Jesus. His coming to our world represents how much God loves us that He sent His son to save us from our sins, which is why Christmas, to me, represents selflessness, forgiving, thanksgiving, and love. :) ~ Meeya of Confessions of A Domesticated Party Girl
TAG INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE 2007 1ST CHRISTMAS TREE BLOG PARADE
Here are the rules:
This is a first annual 2007 Christmas Tree Blog Parade Meme created and conceptualized by OTWOMD of Bluepanjeet.Net. The purpose of this meme is to enliven the Christmas spirit by showing to the world our very own Christmas trees. They say that it is on the Christmas tree that best describes how a person celebrates Christmas. So here are the rules:
Copy the Logo of this meme (Download it on the sidebar and resize it that will best fit your blog or according to your desire) and post it on your entry.
Take a photo of your Christmas tree inside your house. A whole shot is the most appropriate photo. And post it on your entry.
Tell something about your Christmas tree like who decorated it, what are the ornaments and accessories, or what is the theme and meaning of your Christmas tree this year.
You can put any title on your meme but don’t forget to include this “2007 1st Christmas Tree Blog Parade”.
Do the link train history. Put the link of your previous bloggers who tagged you and your own link, Example: Tag History: Bluepanjeet – “you” -

On The feast of Three Kings on January (The official ending of the Christmas Season), Bluepanjeet.Net will launch a mini site that will feature all of the participant’s Christmas trees for 2007 with a link back to their site. TAG INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE NEW YEAR TAG
When it comes to New Year’s Resolutions we seem to fall into four categories:
1) quite serious about them,
2) flippant about them,
3) do it because we feel pressured to, or
4) do not do them.
So, the purpose of this little game is to let us know which category you are in. Copy and paste this post, then tell us who you are, your site(s) (with link) and your New Year’s Resolution, or not. Then tag as many others as you like, from one to your entire blogroll, your choice. If you like, create an intro paragraph to your post that also acknowledges who tagged you.
NEW YEAR’S RESOLUTIONS:
Juliana – Juliana’s Site – My New Year’s resolutions are looking for a part time job, keep blogging, and learn to cook and bake.
Michelle – Rusin Roundup – 1. Learn to be happier and accept myself for who I am, 2. Is to lose about 25 lbs., and 3. Is to stop smoking.
Karen – Grow Rich Along With Me - My resolution for next year is to achieve $3K per month passive income by the end of 2008.
Mel – Attitude, the Ultimate Power & Complain Complain Complain – “I don’t need no stinking resolutions.” I never hold to them anyway so why frustrate myself by starting them now.
Sandee – Comedy Plus – I don’t need no stinking resolutions either. Years and years ago I did them because everyone else did, but not once did I follow through. Why set yourself up for failure?
Lynda – lynda’s loft - My resolution is to see resolve to that which needs resolution. Like Mel and Sandee, I feel that resolutions give us more stress, however, being a person who sets goals each year, isn’t that the same thing as a resolution??? Goals vs. resolutions? Goals are more general and allow for more time to complete them, a resolution requires a mind-set and immediate action, which is not always feasible… Well, that’s my story and I’m stickin’ to it…
Amelia – Amel’s Realm – This is a list of my New Year’s Resolution: 1. Health: Continue exercising twice a week, eat enough veggies and fruit, have enough rest, take vitamin C regularly and women’s multivitamin during my period. 2. Spiritual: Improve my Daily Bread reading routine and my prayer life and learn more from God’s Word. 3. Financial: Continue to make money online (my goal is getting €100 per month at least), be more creative in writing posts, and save most of the money. 4. General Life: Continue to learn Finnish AND practice it as best and often as I can, try out more baking and cooking recipes, continue to maintain and share positive thoughts, continue to learn to control my thoughts, continue to learn to catch myself before I start complaining and count my blessings instead, continue to stop and cherish all the little moments in life that oftentimes go unnoticed, and continue to feed my inner child and last but not least, continue to ENJOY my life thoroughly.
Max – MAX – My New Year’s resolutions are to dedicate more time to my friends; to finally be able to read “Der Spiegel” in German; to be calm when organizing my marriage; to go one last time to my favourite club and dance the night away; and continue to be happy!
Eric – Speedcat Hollydale – I love chicken. Problem is that I really never get to have enough chicken! My New Year’s resolution is to enact “Chicken Tuesday”. On this day I will eat only chicken, blog about chicken, and promote chickens all over the world. (hormone free) Join me, won’t you?
Marzie – Mariuca & Mariuca’s Perfume Gallery – My resolution for 2008 is to enjoy a healthier lifestyle and to expand my Perfume Collection.
Sindi- Life Is A Roller Coaster – My resolution is to complain less, pray more and be a little more thankful for what I have.
Judy – Sugar Queen’s Dream – My New Year’s resolution is: To take better care of my health. To eat better, well at least 3 meals a day, I’m lucky these days if I stop for one meal a day…. To help make the world a better place to live, I love the human race, but think there’s always room for change. To be generous until it hurts. To live each day as if it’s my last. To make a book of our personal family recipes and traditions for each of my 3 my children, so that the traditions and family cooking can be passed on in my family line long after I’m gone and finally……. To help more with the local Human society, Animals like little kids can not fend for themselves so it’s up to each of us to take care of our pets and to step in and care for all animals….. I hope that through me I can encourage my Children to be better adults and in turn to raise the Children they have or will have, to be good people with good, sound & solid values…. Peace!
Adrian – First Time Dad – My New Year’s Resolution for 2008 is to be a better father…now I don’t usually make New Year’s resolutions because I never keep them but this one I better keep! Happy New Year to one and all!
Colin – Life – New Years Resolution? No way…Better to achieve more throughout the year rather than pander to the whims of a one day ‘wishful thought’
Mauro – 1 Million Love Messages – My resolution for next year are: 1. Change my job (maybe work online). I’m really unhappy in the actual one. 2. Dedicate more time to my family and girlfriend… maybe start to get ready for our wedding 3. Work hard in 1 Million Love Messages and reach 2500 Love messages (or more) in the end of 2008.
MidgetManOfSteel – Mental Poo - To get out of dealing with people who I have no desire in helping at the job I’m doing…catch the eye of someone who can see that I can write and be funny…and get my own ticket to happiness from my humor….and a Ferrari. While I’m doing this, I resolve to get a Ferrari.
Stacy – My Thoughts – My New Year’s Resolution for 2008 – Is to be more understanding to my children and to other people, Not to curse at others while I am driving, try to eat right and exercise, try to volunteer in my community, and to believe more in my spiritual side.
Jason – DatCurious.com & DatMoney.com – Although, I normally don’t do New Year’s Resolutions (because I find it as an excuse to actually do something I should’ve already been doing), this year I will plan on giving back to the blogging community, especially my audience. I’m not sure how I will do it yet, but I definitely will.
Kesa – Little Aussie Cynic – My New Years Resolution is the standard….. to finally get off the smokes and to loose 8kg…. both which are possible just difficult…..Happy New Year to you and yours….Aussie
Ann – A Nice Place in the Sun – “To let the rest of my life begin as soon as possible.”
Sandy – Writing in Faith – I don’t make special resolutions at New Year’s. I’m good with reminding myself to breathe, go easy, and be at peace with everyone who touches my life (even the rotters). It’s enough.
GBex – reachingOut – My new year’s resolution is to be more secured and be a better person and gain more friends on the other side of the world.
Idealpinkrose – Idealpinkrose and Allinkorea – I don’t make New Year’s Resolution. But this year, i’ll just want to do what is pleasing to God and want to be a blessing to the people around me.
Thesserie – Photoblog & Dagboek & Eetsmakelijk – To be able to accomplish things that I need to do and not to complicate life, it’s already hard as it is.
Sardonic Nell – Tales of A Melodramatic Moron – This year I’ve decided to focus on my spirital growth, as I think that it’s one of my handicaps. You can read more about it here.
Weng – Munchkin Mommy & Cafe Munchkin & Mapped Memories – This year, I simply want to be a better and much improved version of myself.
Meeya – Confessions of a Domesticated Party Girl, Working It, and MyPurse.Finds.A.Home – For this year, my new year’s resolution is simply to have/live a healthier lifestyle. I know that if I want to keep up with my little bundle of energy, I, at least, have to be physically and mentally fit to do it.

What a tree! Ang ganda. By the way, how did they manage to decorate that? If I were your Aunt, I would leave it there until next Christmas.
