Tagged [What’s Inside]

Nell had two tags for me. What’s Inside my Wallet and What’s Inside my Bag. And then a few days ago, Ris tagged me with the wallet thing, too.

Since the tags are related (i.e. both items can be found under the women’s accessories department), here’s my buy-one-take-one answer. :)

WHAT’S IN MY BAG?

This! Hala, rambulan sila lahat sa loob. Which is why I am partial to big bags, as you can see I have so much stuff!

(In case you are wondering, this bag was my Black Friday snag. It retails for $190, but I got it for less than half. Ang saya di ba?)

Like Nell, my bag is pretty representative of my life – it’s an existence divided into “the mommy” and “the partygirl”.

First, my bag as “the mommy”.

:1: A waterproof pouch that came with a previous diaper bag. I still use it to hold a change of clothes for Ninna, a hand sanitizer, a travel-sized lotion, an itch-relief stick (preventive, just in case may kumagat na naman sa anak kong over-sentitive), small toy-of-the-month (this time it’s an i-dog, free from a burger king happy meal), and a plastic bag of crayons (mostly taken home from restos, hehe). Actually, my Ninna-stuff has already reduced dramatically since Ninna became potty-trained half-a-year ago. Yey!

:2: As every Mom knows, when with a kid, you can’t leave home without a pack of wipes.

:3: This drawstring pouch, a gift from her Ninang Judy, holds the staple food: Mini-Cheetos (her “orange chips”), a pack of cookies, grape juice and milk (ziplocked, of course!). I know, I know, we need something more healthy. Spank me?

Now, my bag as “the partygirl”.

:4: My “temporary” cellphone (more later on #7).

:5: My camera case (not in the pic: my camera, kasi I am using it eh, hehe.)

:6: My kikay kit. Opo, kikay ako in a boring sort of way. Basics lang inside: face powder, lipstick, hand lotion, eye makeup, lip gloss, travel-sized perfume, hair doctor (suklay), mascara, a tweezer, hair ties for ninna and me, and a partridge in a pear tree.

:7: My Treoboy. Right now, it needs to be repaired (or replaced, hi hubby), which is why I am currently stuck with #4. I still carry it around because my phone directory is still in there as well as my virtual library (because it’s my eBook reader, too.)

:8: Our Garmin GPS. Kontra ligaw. When hubby is not using it for work, it’s definitely in my bag.

:9: My sunglasses and lilac coin purse.

:10: My checkbook. My membership/discount cards are tucked in there, too (Borders, Books-A-Million, Costco, Sam’s, CVS, Northwest, AIG, etc.).

:11: My wallet. More on this later. :)

:12: Currently reading Abby’s reco “Love is a Mix Tape”, which I bought off eBay, hehe.

Konti lang di ba? Haay, no wonder I need to see a chiropractor, stat.

WHAT’S IN MY WALLET?

My pink perforated cutie.

Sometime in my adult life, I decided that I definitely prefered pochettes over folding wallets. I love the convenience of just zipping it shut after stuffing something in it. My last two wallets have all been pochettes/wristlets and I used them until their seams gave way. For all my finicky-ness for handbags, I have to say that I am very loyal to a good wallet. And this one, I will probably be keeping for a while. :)

:13: Resibo galore. What did I just tell you about stuffing?

:14: Dolyares non-galore. Total cash I have? $12, hehe. I just put the ten on top para kunyari all my bills are in tens, haha!

:15: My heaven express a.k.a. rosary. It’s my version of an american express – I don’t leave home without it.

:16: My namesake and her child. :) She gives me the strength to deal with mine, hehe.

:17: Cardholder. Was once hubby’s but I adopted it after it got snubbed. Siyempre, it holds the cards (license, credit, check card, health, and insurance).

:18: Tinted lip moisturizer. O di ba, wallet na, kikay kit pa, hehe. I especially adore Stila, kaya super happy ako that this lippy fits in my wallet – easy access to tinted, moisturized lips. :D

:19: Peektyurs of, who else? I used a clear plastic case (libre from some clothing tag) for hubby’s and Ninna’s ID pictures. Panakot sa magnanakaw.

:20: Stamps. Because you’ll never know when you suddenly need to send someone a letter.

:21: Last but not least, Ninna’s South Florida Kids Fun Pass. For only $11, it’s a special pass/discount card to an array of South Florida’s children’s attractions. We already used it at the Miami Seaquarium (free entrance si Ninna, a $25 value, so parang paid na kagad ang aming initial investment, hehe).

Missions Accomplished! :)

hahaa, akala ko my entire life’s in my bag, mas malupit ka! :D ang galing mo, sobrang organized ang mga nilalaman, if i didn’t see it organized that way i wouldn’t have believed all those would fit in one bag. wiener! :)

how do you like the book?

hi abby, i’m sure mas magiging malupit ka rin once your little one comes along and you have to squeeze in the diapers and the formula inside your purse. tignan lang natin kung hindi mapuno ang neverfull. :D OC man, i have this systematic way of organizing my things kasi, aside from the fact na its easier to find things in a large bag, mas madali din to pick up everything and transfer them all to another bag as needed, hehe!

so far, i am loving the book! natatagalan lang ako kasi bawat chapter, sinusubukan kong i-dl yung mga songs na sinasabi niya para marinig ko at maka-relate ako. admittedly, hindi ganun ka-vast ang aking musical knowledge at taste, pero nagiging vast na siya ngayon through this book. :) thanks talaga for recommending this gem. :)~m

hi nell, nakatulong ba ang numbers? haha! kasi nung inisa-isa ko rin yung laman ng bag ko, nagulantang din ako – ang dami pala. :) hinahanap ko nga yung hollow block, oh excuse me, cinder block pala (nasa america nga pala ako) na nakatago kasi nagtataka ako kung bakit mabigat yung bag ko, hehe. i really enjoyed doing these tags, maraming salamat, hehe. anyway, the book is really good. you should give it a try. tapos i’ll send you all the songs i compiled para maka-relate ka rin. :) *muah* ~m

ang alam ko lang, kakasira ng wallet yung mga discount cards at health cards at kung ano pang anik anik na yan, buti na lang fake lang yung wallet ko, hehe

hi mommy kengks, naku totoo yan, i can relate! minsan may mga damo-damo sa loob ng bag ko, or mga bula-bulaklak at kung anu-anong napupulot ng alaga ko.

ang dami mong wallets mother! :D sabagay, kailangan may pag-lagyan at magkasya ang limpak-limpak mong salapi. :D

as for the cards, ang nilalagay ko lang sa aking “main” wallet ay yung importanteng cards. yung mga discount at membership cards nandun sa checkbook ko, nakahiwalay kung baga. pati coins ko nakahiwalay din sa coin purse. aside from madali ngang makasira kung overloaded yung wallet, ayoko rin kasi na bulky yung dala kong pitaka. lalo na at de zipper yung current wallet ko, ay baka bumuka wa poise, hehe. :D ~m

and i thought i was OC! :D mee, bilib ako sa pagkaorganized ng bag mo. ang galing! except for a few “abby essentials” hiniwalay ko na ang karamihan sa mga gamit niya sa bag ko. hahaha! pero, gagayahin kita…maghahahanap ako ng magagandang pouch na puwede gamitin para ma-organize ang bag ko. pangit naman kasi kung puro ziploc! hahaha! :D kaya lang, baka mapuno naman ng pouches ang bag ko! :)

hi weng, i have a method to my madness, haha! sabi ko nga kay abby, may dahilan kung bakit maayos yan. at hello, before the pouches, puro ziplock din ako, kaysa matapunan ng mugmog ang loob ng bag! :D atsaka para naman hindi masyadong jologs, ergo pouches, hehe. ~m

great you did it! super OC ka mag-number ng items grabe.. nahiya ang bag at wallet ko. haha. i’ve been trying to organize my “life” lately thanks to the bag organizers and mini-pockets people are giving me as gifts. hehe.

natuwa ako especially sa mommy kit mo, meeya. yung sakin kasi hiwalay sa bag ko (mia has her own bag, which going to get bigger soon, because i’m an impuslive packer hehe). but i do have a alcohol and hand sanitizer and wet wipes in my bag in case :)

hi ris, hindi naman OC, haha! it’s just easier for me to describe the contents kapag may legend. :P when ninna was an infant, i had a separate diaper bag for her, too. pero as she outgrew her baby stuff, i just consolidated everything para less bitbit (lalo na that toddlers are so malikot, the more hands or shoulders you have free, the better. :D). i honestly think na yung pictures ko were deceptive, hindi ganyan lagi kaayos ang loob ng bag ko. :D ~m

mama mee! super-kaaliw naman nitong blog entry na ito, haha. :) uyy, touched naman si ninang judy at ginagamit pala ni ninna up to now yung pouch bag gift. haha, at super-important pa pala nang mga nilalaman (fooood!!!)!

like you, i always have a rosary in my bag…anumang bag ang gamit ko. :D

Wow! Isn’t it amazing what you can learn about a person by checking out what they carry in their purse or wallet? When I was younger, I used to flirtatiously take a guy’s wallet and check it out, but it was more to see what I could find out about him ;)

hi jen, i agree! you can really tell a lot about a person by (stealthily going through) his/her personal stuff (hehe!). and not just for wallets ha, but same with a person’s room, house, car, and office space. :D ~m
