Snagged [Mangan Tamu (Kain Tayo)]
I got this from Toni and Abby. Wala lang, it’s about time for some masaya updates on this blog.
Ano ang iyong almusal kanina?
:: Cheese hotdog, scrambled eggbeaters, buttered toast, and iced tea. Pinoy kasi kami.
Ikaw ay may itlog — nilagang itlog. Paano mo ito kakainin?
:: I would cut (or crush) the egg into small pieces, and mix it with hot white rice, and dipdip sa ketchup on the side. Or cut it up and mix it with kamatis and patis (sub for itlog na maalat) with sinangag. I can’t eat a boiled egg ng buo, I won’t be able to finish it.
Ano ang paborito mong local na junkfood?
:: Orig Cheese Clover! and Tortillas na Pula! and Mr. Chips! and StarKist! and kropek with spicy vinegar!
Bawal magsinungaling)
:: Yikes, kailangan ba talaga engrandeng pagtitipon? Ang hirap naman, pang Bingo-night lang ako.
:: Appetizer: Store-bought (sorry!) nacho chips with choice of mango salsa, spinach and artichoke dip, or melted velveeta cheese. And maybe some adobong mani and boy bawang, too.
:: Soup: Swam Mais (I don’t know how it’s called in Tagalog, but it’s Kapampangan, and yummy.)
:: Main course: Chicken Marsala ala Carraba’s. Joke!
:: Dessert: Sans Rival and Buko Pandan, hehe!
:: Goode Co, as recommended by Marj. Wala pa lang opportunity, pero I’d really like to try it one of these days.
:: Like Abby, Olives.
Ano ang madalas mong orderin sa Jollibee?
:: Palabok, Champ, Chickenjoy, and Dalandan Juice. Preferably, all at the same time, hehe.
Paano magluto ng Sinigang? Marunong ka ba?
:: Boil meat in water with some salt. Pag tender na, add tomatoes and onion. Add sinigang mix. Add vegetables. Then patis to taste.
:: Pag seafood naman (like fish or shrimps), boil water with sinigang mix and tomatoes and onion muna. Then drop the seafood, then the veggies. Patis to taste, too.
Or Thai Sweet Chili Sauce. Or Ketchup.
Kumakain ka ba ng dinuguan? Alam mo ba kung saan ito gawa?
:: Nope. Now you know why hindi ako pinagpalang maging maputi.)
Kulit no? :)
~~~
Thus far, these people (who have absolutely no idea what swam mais is) have taken the survey:
:: Munchkin Mommy (Masayang Survey)
:: Simply Me (Mangan Tayon)
:: The Divine Miss M (Dinner is Served)
:: Cez’t La Vie (Tagged: Mangan Tamu)
:: Lezew’s Stars Hollow (Mangan Tamu) hey, bakit niyo ginagaya title ko, hahaha!
:: Manila Mom (Let’s Eat and Be Merry) she has actually heard of swam mais but has a diff version of it!
:: Ybabie (Mangan Tayon) she actually got this meme from simplymuah who got it from me!
ay! sasagot ako nito! pero maya-mayang konti. magtatrabaho muna ako…alam mo na: laba, hugas plato, luto, alaga ng anak. hee hee! :D
haahaa, ang hilig nga talaga ng pinoy sa iced tea noh. lalo pag buffet, yung mga laking pinas dito ang tanong agad pag may iced tea sa isang resto, “Is it bottomless?” Syempre, the waiter, for the life of him couldn’t figure out what that meant. :D
mama mee! ni tag kita!
swam mais? mais na tapos na mag-swimming? hehehe.
ako naman mais with a y.
corny!
i like italliani’s, too. but have you tried The Old Spaghetti House? highly recommended, just within the budget, homely, good service, and food is soooo good.
di ko rin alam kung ano ang swam mais. pero sinagot ko pa rin. :P
Awww I wanted to post here my 7 seven. But I forgot. So may I?
I have 7 children. My 7th child was born on 07/ 7 — (but not 77 ), at 10:07 pm, weighing exactly 7 lbs and when she grew up her class number was almost always No. 7.
Alright. I counted. I gave one more than seven 7s!
That was fun. ty :)
Mamah, di ko alam ang swam mais mo pero may alam akong swam (walang mais) na luto, ung isa is parang dinuguan pero di saktong dinuguan at un isa ay luto ng fish.
Anyway, sumagot pa rin ako!
yehay! glad to find another person who does not eat dinuguan! hehehe
Try Pappasitos din. Their steak fajitas and the nachos are super yummy. BTW, iba lasa ng iced tea diyan kasi brewed tea talaga ang gamit nila hindi Lipton or Nestea. Di ko masyado type.
ako naman ang kakaiba… hindi ako kumakain ng dinuguan nung bata pa pero nung napatikim na… ayun hindi na tumigil…
heto ang suam mais ni karen nga pala:
Hi! I followed you home from Sexy Mom’s blog. Oops, am not a stalker ha? :D
Yes, I know Suam Mais, too – but I think we do a Visayan version, without chicken and with malunggay leaves instead of sili tops. We love this! I can eat the whole pot kung kaya lang ng tiyan ko, haha!
Sali ako, ha? Right now,I need a happy post for my blog, too!
My version’s up. Thanks for the wonderful idea!
