The Lesson of the Five Balls
I got this from Suzanne’s Diary for Nicholas.
Imagine life is a game in which you are juggling five balls. The balls are called work, family, health, friends, and integrity. And you’re keeping all of them in the air. But one day you finally come to understand that work is a rubber ball. If you drop it, it will bounce back. The other four balls — family, health, friends, integrity — are made of glass. If you drop one of these, it will be irrevocably scuffed, nicked, perhaps even shattered. And once you truly understand the lesson of the five balls, you will have the beginnings of balance in your life.
Are your balls in balance?

Nice one! This really made me think. I’d think I’m balancing 6 balls. Church/God is my other ball. :)
Hi, just passing by :)
wow, very poetic, but sure hits the spot :)
ayayay…. trying our darndest to balance all balls…
I’ve long accepted the fact that my family life takes center stage now. Forget a career – all I need is the salary, hahaha! In the end kasi, it wouldn’t matter whether you’ve been a good employee. All that matters is that whether you’ve been a good mom, wife, daughter, friend, an overall human being, and a child of God.
