Assignment #4: Am I Weird?
Because I asked for it…
Jane set me up with this weird one. Also, I just realized that I was tagged by Jen with this meme a few eons ago (sorry Jen, anesthesia!). Better late than never, right?
Surprisingly, I had a hard time coming up with my answers. Either I’m not as weird as I thought I am, and I’m actually quite normal… and it’s the rest of the world that’s weird? Whaddayathink? :D
Mechanics:
The writer will create a blog about the 6 weird things/habits about himself.
People who get tagged will have to post a blog of their own telling 6 weird things/habits about themselves.
At the end of your 6 weird things/habits, you need to choose 6 people that you would like to tag and list their names.
My Answers:
1. I dont eat beef. But I have an exception: hamburgers. Extra yummy hamburgers.
2. Contrary to popular belief, I am actually very shy [insert your violent reaction here!]. In fact, I am almost always perceived as aloof by people whom I meet for the very first time (basically because I hardly talk!). It gets really bad when I am around people I do not know. So bad, really, that whenever we go out, it’s usually my hubby who asks for directions, places our orders, complains to, or converses with other people. In fact, at the drive thru (which I hate hate hate going to), even when I’m in the driver’s seat, I make hubby order (i.e. yell at the order box/speaker) from the passenger side. He’s also the one who calls customer service for my (technical or otherwise) problems, and I make him answer my phone when I don’t recognize the number on the caller ID.
3. I hardly panic. It usually takes a (whole, whole, whole) lot of stress and convincing (e.g. “meeya, we need to panic. now!”) to ruffle my feathers. It’s abnormal, really.
4. I can’t leave my home without a nice purse.
5. To my husband’s relief, I have an almost minute interest in jewelry. Right now, the only real pieces of jewelry that I have are my engagement and wedding rings, as well as a pair of pearl earrings which I reserve for special ocassions. I do accept gifts, though *ehem ehem*. :D
6. When something needs to get done and nobody wants to do it, I would almost always step up. I hate not finishing something that has already been started. I need closure!!! (And I do get into a lot of trouble by volunteering myself too much and by dragging my poor innocent hubby along, hehehe.)
Bonus Track: I can live on water and Ben and Jerry’s New York Super Fudge Chunk alone. But if I do that, I probably won’t live very long. Hehe.

mama mee! alam mo ba, pareho tayo in some points you mentioned in #2. i don’t answer my phone pag di familiar ang number. i’d rather that somebody calls up customer service instead of me. mas ok din kung di ako ang magco-complain about anything. i get in trouble with my mom because of this. lagi akong nasasabihang, “ano? nahihiya ka nanaman!” i know, di mukha no?! :D muah!

wow! it’s really great to find someone who never panics- you’re as cool as ice then. That is a great trait (wag lang sobra).
you don’t eat beef? as in burgers lang? that is bizaare- did you have any unpleasant dining experience with beef?
